CALYPSO -- Juan Garcia turned in a four-goal performance during North Duplin's 10-6 loss to Carolina 1-A Conference foe Lakewood at H.E. Grubbs Field on Thursday evening.
Mark Zambrano and Henry Silva each registered a goal for the Rebels. Garcia assisted on Zambrano's goal.
"We got behind in the first half, and struggled with fouls and penalties in the second half," ND head coach James Foster said. "The last 18 minutes of the game, we were two men down and Lakewood was one man down. Just sloppy play resulting in too many yellow cards."
ND goalies Felipe Prudencio, Raul Romero and Ovidio Rojas combined for 12 saves.
The Rebels (5-9-1 overall, 4-7 CC) conclude regular-season play Monday at Spring Creek.
