SNOW HILL -- Xan Pate's penalty kick proved to be the game-winning goal as Goldsboro knocked off Greene Central, 3-1, in an Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference contest Wednesday evening.
Mickey Eovine scored in the 37th minute for the Cougars, who avenged a loss to the Rams last week. Aaron Seate provided the visitors' third goal off Ruben Quiroz's assist.
The Cougars visit North Lenoir on Monday.
