* Boys' soccer: C.B. Aycock 3, Eastern Wayne 1 -- German Pena scored two goals and dished out an assist during the Golden Falcons' first win of the season Tuesday afternoon. Hunter Collins added one goal and one assist for Aycock, which improved to 1-5-0 overall and 1-2-0 against Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference opposition. Alex Thomas accounted for Eastern Wayne's lone goal.

* Volleyball: Rosewood d. Neuse Charter 25-8, 25-23 -- Lana Nuwana had four kills and one dig in the Eagles' straight-set win. Rylee Myers contributed 11 assists, one kill and one ace. Maddie Honn registered three kills. Alana Atwell posted three kills and two aces, and was named the "player of the game" by head coach Jennifer Cochran.

* Volleyball: Princeton d. Spring Creek 25-20, 25-12 -- Shae Odom had two aces and five assists for the Gators. Mikayla Price collected two digs. Bianca Cuevas (one ace, one dig, two kills), Emily Dupuy (two digs, two kills, two blocks) and Alex Jordan (one ace, one dig, two kills, one block) also contributed for Spring Creek. Kalli Jones led the visiting Bulldogs with eight kills, while Hannah Byrd delivered a six-kill effort. Lily Eklund distributed 16 assists.

* Volleyball: D.H. Conley d. C.B. Aycock 25-14, 25-13 -- The Golden Falcons fell to 13-6 overall and 2-5 in Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference play this season.

* Volleyball: North Duplin d. Hobbton 10-25, 25-10, 15-13 -- The Rebels rose to 5-7 overall and 4-4 in Carolina 1-A Conference play this season.

NRYFL

* 8-Under: Mount Olive 18, Grantham 0 -- Trayvon Usher rushed for a pair of touchdowns and Ethan Nelson added a score for the Hurricanes. Carson Barwick led the defense with three tackles.

* 10-Under: Mount Olive 56, Grantham 0 -- Trakel Howard broke loose for three touchdown runs. Lamontez White, Jymere Lee, Dorian Tousaint and Sean Moore rambled for one TD apiece. Alex Ferrell caught a two-point conversion pass from Cuyler Daly. Donavan Armwood and Jahmere Bannerman each logged three tackles on defense. Howard returned a fumble for a TD. Ferrell also recovered a fumble.

* 12-Under: Mount Olive 47, Grantham 0 -- Ian McIntyre accounted for three touchdowns -- two rushing and one receiving for the Hurricanes. Koree Harper and Carlos Zamora each rushed for a TD. Deuntae Wright passed for a touchdown and ran for another score. Tedarius Butler returned a kickoff to the house. Defensive leaders were Dujuan Armwood (two tackles), Alvin Smith (three tackles, one interception) and Tijeek Shackleford (six tackles).
