GIRLS' GOLF: Golden Falcons finish second in regular-season play

Charles B. Aycock finished as the Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference regular-season runner-up at Lane Tree Golf Course on Monday afternoon.
The Golden Falcons, led by Leah Campbell's team-best score of 47, logged a three-player total of 149. Abby Sauls posted a 48, followed by Anna Williams with 54. Savannah Strickland turned in a 55.
Cathryn Jones led Southern Wayne with a 55. Amanda Murphy contributed a 60 for the Saints, who finished fourth overall.
Sauls, Campbell, Jones and Strickland each earned all-conference accolades.
