WINTERVILLE - Wayne Country Day earned a share of the Coastal Plains Independent 1-A Conference regular-season title with a 13-0 shellacking of Christ Covenant on Monday afternoon.

Twelve different players logged at least one point apiece for the Chargers.

Noah Adkins and Jack Talton each punched in two goals. Ben Cohen, Luis Lopez, Nehemiya Shaw, Hunter Bryson, Ryan Thiele, Marquise Newell, Mitch Turnage, Nick Fletcher and Sam Smith each scored one goal.

Lopez and Hunter each dished out two assists. Adkins, Shaw, Cohen, John Thompson and Fletcher each had one assist.

"The lads got the job done early today and convincingly," WCDS head coach Steve Ellis said. "It was good to get everybody game time, and move people around the field to try and get on the score sheet."

The Chargers (16-2-0 overall, 9-1-0 CPIC) conclude their season-ending three-game road swing Monday at Ridgecroft.
