VOLLEYBALL: Hobbton rallies past Spring Creek

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Kayla Herring cranked out a team-leading 15 kills in Spring Creek's 25-23, 25-17, 12-25, 23-25, 12-15 loss to Carolina 1-A Conference foe Hobbton on Thursday evening.
Herring added six digs defensively for the Gators, who dropped to 3-8 overall and 0-5 against league opposition this season.
Ivet Carreno handed out 24 assists and put down three kills. Fernanda Martinez turned in four aces, six kills and two blocks. McKinley Edmondson contributed three aces, nine digs and five kills.
Madison Sullivan posted two aces, four kills and three blocks.
Shae Odom led the defense with 16 digs.
