VOLLEYBALL: Golden Falcons sweep Saints, climb to 10-0 overall

PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock continued its best start since the Jane Tyndall era with a 25-14, 25-11, 25-13 conquest of county and Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference foe Southern Wayne on Tuesday afternoon.
The Golden Falcons remained perfect in 10 outings this season.
Arlanda Faulkner delivered an 18-kill performance and finished with a blistering .810 hitting percentage that included just one error in 21 attack attempts. Mackenzie Wheeler added seven kills and Cyerra Carter recorded six kills.
Cassandra Lassiter recorded 30 digs and served seven aces. Mookie Powell and Wheeler each registered 18 digs, while Faulkner had 22. Yasmyne Vann collected 10 digs.
Hannah Carter recorded 33 assists.
