VOLLEYBALL: Hobbton turns back Rosewood in 5 sets

NEWTON GROVE -- Hobbton opened Carolina 1-A Conference play with a 28-26, 20-25, 19-25, 25-17, 16-14 victory over Rosewood on Tuesday afternoon.
Seniors Hannah Daniels and Ada Rivera pounded out nine and eight kills, respectively, for RHS. Kaitlyn Kincaid contributed six kills, followed by Hailey Weeks with five.
Weeks and Carrie Beckert paced the defense with nine digs apiece. Rivera and Braylee Butts recorded five and four digs, respectively.
Kincaid dished out 22 assists.
