VOLLEYBALL: Brogden has 10-kill outing for North Duplin

SMITHFIELD -- Haley Brogden recorded 10 kills and served six aces during North Duplin's 25-13, 8-25, 25-21, 25-21 conquest over Neuse Charter in the Carolina 1-A Conference opener for both teams Tuesday afternoon.
Cassy King contributed three aces. Maddie Swinson and Kenzie Taylor reeled off five kills apiece, while Taylor Walker registered four kills and a team-high five blocks.
Anna Lee Thornton passed out 22 assists.
North Duplin improved to 2-2 overall this season.
