• Volleyball: Rosewood d. Hobbton 25-19, 23-25, 15-7 -- Allana Atwell collected four kills and Maddie Honn added three kills in the Carolina 1-A Conference opener for both teams Tuesday afternoon. Laine Marak served two aces. Rylee Myers handed out seven assists.

• Volleyball: Lakewood d. Spring Creek 25-21, 25-20 -- Shae Odom passed out seven assists for the Gators. Bianca Ceuvas contributed one dig, one ace and a team-leading seven kills.

• Volleyball: Neuse Charter d. North Duplin 16-25, 25-14, 16-14 -- It was the Carolina 1-A Conference opener for both teams.

• Volleyball: Goldsboro d. Southern Wayne 25-16, 25-23 -- Addie Shirley served a team-high six aces for the visiting Cougars. Grace Tart provided six kills, while Garyn Taylor handed out 14 assists. Goldsboro departed 6-2 overall this season.

• Volleyball: Princeton d. James Kenan 25-12, 25-12 -- The Bulldogs travel to Bunn this afternoon.

• Boys' soccer: Fike 3, C.B. Aycock 1 -- Sam Andrews scored the Golden Falcons' lone goal.
