KENLY -- Rosewood's Shamayah Revis recorded a season- and career-low nine-hole round of 44 during a multi-team match contested at Cardinal Country Club on Tuesday afternoon.
Eight golfers shot in the 40s.
Charles B. Aycock's Abby Sauls and Haley Narron of North Johnston each shot a 45.
North Johnston edged Triton 134-139 to win the team portion. Aycock ended up third at 149, followed by Rosewood (165) and Southern Nash (176).
Leah Campbell and Savannah Strickland each fired a 52 to complete the Golden Falcons' three-player score. Anna Williams logged a 57.
"This is probably the most (low scores) I have witnessed with our group of local schools during the past six seasons," RHS head coach Shay Campbell said. "I hope the trend continues as we had five teams that fielded at least four golfers on each team. We encourage students to join the teams as we try to increase the presence of girls golf in the area."
