GIRLS' GOLF: Wayne Christian edges Goldsboro by 1 shot

Grace Buddin and Briana Verme each posted a 55 and led Wayne Christian to a 168-169 victory over Goldsboro on the Lane Tree Golf Club links Tuesday afternoon.
Annalise Fitzmorris carded a 59. Teammates Caroline Jones and Christina Jimenez contributed scores of 61 and 63, respectively.
Goldsboro's Rylie Hales claimed medalist honors with a 53. Ashley Smith posted a 55. Rebecca Lanier logged a 59, followed by Caroline Foy with a 61.
