CROSS COUNTRY: WCDS boys, girls sweep home meet

Wayne Country Day won the boys' and girls' team portions of a meet contested Monday afternoon on the Chargers' home course.
On the boys' side, WCDS placed four runners among the top 10 -- runner-up Cole Atwood, Connor Bauer (fourth), Suraj Patel (fifth) and Brandon Talton (ninth). Noah Atwood finished 17th.
On the girls' side, the Chargers' Janae Jones wound up fifth. Teammates Gray Young (third), Ashton Gupton (fifth), Katherine Eltz (ninth) and Hayden Nielsen (10th) helped WCDS win the eight-team competition.
Harrison Freeman emerged as the top finisher, 12th overall, for Faith Christian. Carson Harris was 28th, followed by Silas Hill (30th), Alex Tillman (31st) and Will Edwards (33rd).
Taylor Skinner (37th) and Cassidy Glover (38th) competed for Faith Christian in the girls' race.
