VOLLEYBALL: Wayne Christian's Sladick flirts with double-double

Hannah Sladick just missed a double-double with nine kills and nine digs during Wayne Christian's 25-22, 25-17, 25-11 victory over the Pitt Pacers on Tuesday afternoon.
Hope Shook contributed eight kills and eight digs. Mercy Wright registered seven kills and two blocks. Ashlee Harrelson (five aces), Holly Gurley (five digs) and Amanda Morrell (two kills) also played well in the three-set affair.
Kasey Norris distributed 29 assists.
Wayne Christian (8-1 overall) entertains Wayne Country Day in their first-ever meeting as Coastal Plains Independent 1-A Conference foes. Match time is 5 p.m. inside Clifford Gymnatorium.
