VOLLEYBALL: CBA's Carter plays all-around solid floor game

PIKEVILLE -- Hannah Carter dished out 10 assists, served five aces and logged six digs on defense during Charles B. Aycock's 25-7, 25-14, 25-13 non-conference triumph over county rival Spring Creek on Tuesday afternoon.
The Golden Falcons swept the two-game regular-season series.
Arlanda Faulkner provided 16 digs and eight kills -- both team highs. Taliyah Green and Mookie Powell provided four kills apiece.
Powell and Mackenzie Wheeler collected nine and six digs, respectively, on defense.
Fernanda Martinez led SC with three kills and one block. Ivet Carreno, Shae Odom and McKinley Edmondson each handed out two assists.
Madison Sullivan registered one ace, one dig, one kill and one block. Kayla Herring added one ace and two digs.
C.B. Aycock (5-0 overall) travels to Goldsboro on Thursday. Spring Creek exited 1-2.
