TENNIS: Wayne Country Day dominates RM Academy

ROCKY MOUNT -- Wayne Country Day logged five singles points and cruised past Rocky Mount Academy, 7-2, on Thursday afternoon.
Jennifer Potts, Ally Willman, Langley Barnes, Nancy Chen and Hannah Fessler each prevailed in pro-set (eight-game) play on the singles courts.
Barnes-Eliza Eagles and Fessler-Aimee Barnes each emerged victorious in doubles for the Chargers.
The three-time defending N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association 1-A state dual-team champion, Wayne Country Day (2-0 overall) plays host to Oakwood on Aug. 25.
