Marquise Newell notched two goals as Wayne Country Day rolled past Bethel Christian, 6-0, on a steamy and humid Tuesday afternoon.
Hunter Bryson, Nehemiya Shaw and James Thompson each punched in one goal. Senior Noah Adkins converted a penalty kick and dished out two assists.
Bryson and Jack Talton each had one assist.
"We played well today, especially in the second half when we upped the tempo," WCDS head coach Steve Ellis said. "We dominated from start to finish and didn't really come under any pressure. It was good to get all the lads some game time, and they all did the job we asked for when they went on (the field)."
The Chargers (3-1-0 overall) entertain Rocky Mount Academy on Thursday.
