PRINCETON -- Rally central.
Princeton High, down 2-0 in the seventh inning, staged a comeback for the ages in second-round play versus a game East Columbus ball club in round two of the N.C. High School Athletic Association's softball playoffs Saturday.
Hailey Wood earned the mound win for Princeton, giving up two runs on five hits over seven quality innings of work. She also went 2-4 at the plate with a single and a double.
Kelsey Peedin scored on an infield error to begin the Bulldog charge in the seventh, and was followed by Taylor Carroll's RBI double to center field. The Pitt C.C. signee later scored the clinching run on a fielder's choice at first base.
Princeton (18-1 overall) will play East Carteret next Tuesday.
