Rosewood emerged victorious at five singles flights and wrapped up the Carolina 1-A Conference regular-season championship with an 8-1 decision over Princeton on Tuesday afternoon.
Jordan Price, Chase Bartlett, Jeremy Lintner, Collin Pendegraph and Marc Lewis each claimed a singles point. Lintner-Price, Bartlett-Pendegraph and Jacob Smith-Dalton Ira each cruised in doubles play.
Sixth-seeded Woodall Lane claimed the lone point -- a 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (10-3) rally against Ira at the No. 6 singles flight.
Rosewood (11-1 overall) also earned the league's No. 1 seed for the upcoming N.C. High School Athletic Association dual-team playoffs. The Eagles travel to C.B. Aycock today and conclude regular-season play next Monday against Greene Central.
