Beddingfield softball knocks CBA from unbeaten ranks

WILSON -- Chloe Radford swatted two home runs as perennial 2-A powerhouse Beddingfield spilled Charles B. Aycock, 3-2, in non-conference play Thursday evening.
The Bruins halted the Golden Falcons' 16-game win streak.
Abbie Walton paced Aycock's offense with two hits. Mookie Powell, Connor Vinson and Madison Walton provided one hit apiece.
Pitcher Allie Phillips logged 10 strikeouts inside the circle.
The Golden Falcons return home Tuesday against county and Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference foe Southern Wayne.
