C.B. Aycock's Shingleton tosses shutout

PIKEVILLE -- Ashley Shingleton threw a five-strikeout shutout inside the pitcher's circle as unbeaten Charles B. Aycock blanked New Bern, 7-0, in Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference play Tuesday evening.
Connor Vinson paced the Golden Falcons' offense with three hits. Madison Walton doubled and drove in a run. Senior catcher Abbie Walton doubled.
Taylor Puetz batted 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and an RBI.
The Golden Falcons (13-0 overall, 4-0 ECC) play host to North Johnston today.
