Warriors' Smith has 3 hits in loss to South Central

Tammaria Smith delivered a three-hit performance during Eastern Wayne's 11-0, five-inning loss to perennial Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference power South Central on Tuesday afternoon.
The Warriors collected eight hits -- including one each by Chloe Smith, Emily Newsome, Jala Parks, Darian Beasley and Liz Sutton each had one for Eastern Wayne.
However, EW couldn't overcome five errors defensively. The miscues led to eight unearned runs for the Falcons.
Emily Uzzell threw 139 pitches and suffered the mound loss.
