County swimmers wrap up respective seasons

Charles B. Aycock's Zech Chastain recorded two top-10 finishes during the 2016 N.C. High School Athletic Association Class 3-A state individual swimming championships.
Chastain touched the wall fifth in 52.45 seconds during the 100 backstroke. He claimed 10th overall with a time of 49.73 in the 100 free.
Sophomore Abby Sauls placed 17th in the 500 free (5:34.62) and 18th in the 200 free (2:06.04).
Goldsboro's Anna Breck logged a 10th-place performance in the 100 back (1:03.6) during the NCHSAA Classes 1-A/2-A championship meet.
Rosewood's Dalton Ira ended up 16th in the 500 free (5:27.6). Teammate Kodey Silknitter grabbed 12th in the 100 breaststroke (1:05.69) and 14th in the 100 free (52.64).
