Games moved to today were:
* Ayden-Grifton at Goldsboro;
* Eastern Wayne at C.B. Aycock;
* Rosewood at Hobbton;
* James Kenan at Princeton;
* and Lakewood at Spring Creek.
Wayne Christian's varsity boys travel to perennial independent 1-A powerhouse Greenfield. Tip-off is 7 p.m.
Eastern Wayne remains on schedule to host a three-team wrestling meet against county rival Rosewood and North Johnston. Action begins at 6 p.m.
Princeton AD Marty Gurganus confirmed earlier this morning that a ceremony is planned to rename the basketball court in honor of former coach Raymond Sugg -- a highly-decorated World War II veteran who received two Purple Hearts, the Silver Star, the Bronze Star and five Battle Stars while in the U.S. Army.
Sugg played professional baseball and was one of Princeton's most-successful coaches in baseball, boys' basketball and girls' basketball during the 1950s. His 1958 boys' basketball team won a school-record 30 consecutive games without a loss before falling in the regional finals.
Sugg co-founded the Princeton Little League in 1961, which was located on land donated by his mother, Mrs. Louise Sugg. All of eight of Sugg's children played one or more sports in the Princeton Community and at PHS. Sugg, not surprisingly, was a charter member and helped organize the PHS Booster Club in 1961.
To this day, Sugg continues to attend events involving his beloved Bulldogs.
Upon completion, the school's new gym was named after long-time supporter Deacon Jones.
