Wayne Christian boys dismantle Community Christian

WILSON -- Wayne Christian led 23-5 after one quarter and dismantled Community Christian, 75-45, in a Carolina Christian 1-A Conference game Thursday evening.
Tyrique McClain emerged as the Eagles' top scorer with 17 points. Austin Kornegay recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, and picked the Cyclones for four steals.
Brandon Cowan provided 11 points. Josiah Simmons and Rashawn Wellington contributed eight points apiece. Darrin Oates registered seven points and six assists.
Wayne Christian (9-7 overall, 3-3 CCC) entertains Neuse Christian today.
