McClain drops in 21 points in Wayne Christian's road win

HALIFAX -- Tyrique McClain poured in a game-high 21 points as Wayne Christian handed Halifax Academy a 78-41, non-conference defeat Monday evening.
Darrin Oates contributed 18 points, five steals and three steals as the Eagles built an 18-point lead after one quarter. Rayshawn Wellington posted nine points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Brandon Cowan chipped in eight points.
Wayne Christian (6-6 overall) returns to action Saturday against New Life Christian in the E I-95 Tournament.
