Oates hits game-winning 3 for Wayne Christian

SANFORD -- Darrin Oates drained the game-winning 3-pointer with six seconds left, and Wayne Christian knocked off Lee Christian, 65-62, in a Carolina Christian 1-A Conference game Friday evening.
Oates finished the game with 12 points.
Tyrique McClain paced the Eagles' offense with 28 points, including a 16 of 20 effort from the free throw line. Osi Amaefule registered 10 points, followed by Rayshawn Wellington with nine.
Wayne Christian (5-6 overall, 2-3 CCC) visits Halifax Academy on Monday.
