* Boys' basketball: Wayne Christian 66, Northwood Temple 65 -- Jayden Young led four Eagles in double figures with 19 points on Thursday evening. Jaxon Anderson contributed 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Logan Jackson provided a double-double -- 12 points, 11 rebounds. Will White chipped in 11 points, five rebounds and three assists. Austin Strickland and Micaiah Singletary pulled down eight and six rebounds, respectively.

* Boys' basketball: Wayne Country Day 66, Crossroads Christian 63 -- Marcus Metcalf emerged as the Chargers' top scorer with a game-high 32 points. Cooper Edmondson contributed 11 points. Wayne Country Day (7-2 overall) entertains Oakwood today.

Middle schools

* Boys' basketball: Greenwood 46, Dillard 38 -- JB Rhodes paced the T-Birds' attack with 19 points and seven rebounds. Christian Bullock supplied 13 points and six assists. Greenwood (1-2 overall) visits Brogden on Monday.

* Girls' basketball: Rosewood 38, Norwayne 25 -- Rylee Myers knocked down 12 points in the Eagles' victory over the Cobras on Thursday afternoon. Arzhane Dozier dropped in nine points. Laine Marak and Kaitlyn Smith chipped in eight and five points, respectively.

* Girls' basketball: Dillard 36, Greenwood 14 -- Dyamond George scored 11 points in the Tigers' win over the T-Birds. Ikenya King and Ania Sands collected eight points apiece. Sands dished out seven assists and recorded five steals. Dillard (4-0 overall) travels to Eastern Wayne on Monday.
