Payton scores 20, Rebels collar Devilpups

CAMP LEJEUNE -- Senior JP Payton tickled the twine for a game-high 20 points as North Duplin upended Lejeune, 61-47, in non-conference play Friday evening.
Schmid Romeus, Luke Britt and Travaye Darden contributed 11 points apiece in the road win. Dexter Morrisey (five points) and Chase King (two points) also scratched in the scoring column.
The Rebels (1-2 overall) open Carolina 1-A Conference play next Tuesday at Neuse Charter.
