No. 16-ranked Francis Marion knocks off UMO women

FLORENCE, S.C. -- Francis Marion built a 22-point second-quarter lead and cruised past University of Mount Olive, 79-48, in a non-conference women's college basketball game Tuesday evening.
Aerial Johnson flirted with a double-double -- 13 points, nine rebounds -- as the Trojan women fell to 4-4 overall this season. Kiara Jones collected 10 points.
Shy'Lia Buie dished out four assists.
FMU, ranked No. 16 nationally, controlled the boards 52-29 and coaxed UMO into 20 turnovers which led to 23 points.
The Trojan women return home Sunday to face St. Augustine's. Tip-off is 4 p.m. at Kornegay Arena.
