ERWIN -- Lillian Freeman dropped in nine points as Wayne Country Day fell 44-29 to Grace Christian-Sanford in the third-place game during the Cape Fear Christian Academy Senior Classic.
Neuse Charter handed the Chargers a 40-31 loss in the opener.
WCDS led 17-10 at halftime, but couldn't overcome the Cougars' hot shooting from the 3-point line. TT Ramsey paced the Chargers with seven points, while Lexi Jeffreys snared a team-best 16 rebounds.
The Chargers (0-3 overall) return to action Tuesday at The Oakwood School.
