DUDLEY -- Quarterback Quentin Carlton and Manny Walker combined for 60 yards rushing in Southern Wayne's 49-0 loss to D.H. Conley in Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference play Friday.
It was the Saints' homecoming.
"We came out ready to play tonight and competed against a very good Conley team in the first half," SW head coach David Lee said. "We did not come out as ready to play in the second half. They are a very physical team and we did not match their aggressivness in the second half.
"Our guys continue to work hard in practice and we will prepare to play an athletic South Central team next week."
Shawntwon Leach added 27 rushing yards for the Saints, who fell to 0-8 overall and 0-4 against ECC opposition this season.
