FAYETTEVILLE -- Hunter Bryson delivered a two-goal performance as Wayne Country Day blanked Freedom Christian in the Coastal Plains Independent 1-A/2-A Conference regular-season finale for both teams Friday afternoon.
Luis Lopez assisted Bryson's two goals.
Kris Cooley connected on an assist from Noah Adkins. Lee McDonald knocked in an unassisted goal and James Thompson converted a penalty kick.
Freedom provided an "own goal."
"It was a nice result to finish conference play off," WCDS head coach Steve Ellis said. "We had a tough game last night (Thursday vs. Greenfield), but it didn't hinder us today too much. We rotated a lot tonight and the lads got the job done."
The Chargers (17-2-1, 5-1-0 CPIC) return home Tuesday for senior day against Northwood Temple.
