Zeke Best has career-best, 349-yard passing game in EW's road loss

GREENVILLE -- Zeke Best threw for a career-high 349 yards and three touchdown passes as Eastern Wayne dropped a 47-27 decision to J.H. Rose on the Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference scene Friday evening.
Best threw TD strikes to Austin Hite, Robert Gonzalez and KK Best. Hite ended the night with four receptions for 134 yards. Gonzalez had five catches for 108 yards, while Best hauled in four catches for 73 yards.
KK Best added 95 rushing yards.
Clemson commit Cornell Powell pulled down three first-half touchdown receptions and returned a punt for a second-half touchdown as Greenville Rose rolled over Eastern Wayne, 47-27, in Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference play Friday evening.
The Rampants built as much as a 34-point lead.
Eastern Wayne (2-5 overall, 0-3 ECC) entertains D.H. Conley for homecoming next Friday.
