Lakewood takes 3-setter from North Duplin

SALEMBURG -- Rylee Pate dished out 11 assists and Shaily McCarty collected six kills in North Duplin's 20-25, 15-25, 12-25 loss to defending Carolina 1-A Conference champ Lakewood on Tuesday afternoon.
Pate added three kills, while McCarty logged six digs. Teammate Elizabeth Thornton emerged as the defensive leader with 10 digs. Anna Thornton contributed three kills, two service aces and five digs.
The Rebels (4-9 overall) dropped to 3-6 in league play this season.
