Spring Creek pulls out 5-set win

Spring Creek rallied from a one-set deficit to Wayne Christian 25-18, 16-25, 10-25, 26-24, 15-13 on Monday afternoon.
Ivey Carreno distributed 20 assists for the Gators, who claimed their fifth victory of the season. Daisy Martinez supplied a team-high 12 kills, while Lexie Reyes posted eight digs.
Hannah Sladick paced the Eagles with nine kills, four aces, seven blocks and 12 digs. Mercy Wright registered nine kills and two blocks. Hope Shook cranked out seven kills. WCS head coach Rick Moore said Ashley Harrelson "played solid" with three kills and three aces.
Shook and Holley Gurley posted nine digs apiece on defense.
Kasey Norris (four aces) and Emily Wells combined for 32 assists.
Spring Creek faces Neuse Charter in Carolina 1-A Conference play today. Wayne Christian (12-12 overall) travels to Christ Covenant on Friday.
