Bryson tallies goal, dishes out two assists for WCDS

WILMINGTON -- Hunter Bryson collected a goal and supplied two assists as Wayne Country Day hammered Wilmington Christian, 5-1, on Monday afternoon.
"We played well tonight against a team that beat us last year," Chargers head coach Steve Ellis said. "We took it to them from the start and put them on the back foot, and got rewarded with a couple (of) early goals. (A) good performance overall and we got minutes for all of our players."
Matt Kierski, Noah Adkins, Luis Lopez and Ben Cohen each scored one goal apiece. Jacob Magera dished out two assists.
The Chargers (10-1-1 overall) play host to Pope John Paul II on Thursday in the Coastal Plains Independent 1-A/2-A Conference opener for both teams.
