North Duplin's Castenada, Hildago-Moreno each post a hat trick

SMITHFIELD -- Ronaldo Castenada and Greg Hildago-Moreno each notched a hat trick (three goals) as North Duplin handed Neuse Charter a 9-0, mercy rule-shortened defeat on Wednesday afternoon.
It was the Carolina 1-A Conference opener for both teams.
Juan Garcia provided two goals and Wilber Velasquez polished off the Cougars with the game-ending goal 26 minutes into the second half.
Castenada, Javier Eriza and Mark Zambrano each had one assist.
North Duplin goalie Luis Martinez recorded six saves and his first shutout of the season.
