Goldsboro, Beddingfield stage 5-set thriller

Matti Rose Lyon handed out 28 assists in Goldsboro's 25-21, 18-25, 25-21, 17-25, 10-15 non-conference loss to Beddingfield on Thursday afternoon.
Becka Pittard recorded 18 kills and six blocks for the Cougars. Teammates Kaylee Lyon (four aces) and Jaiquiera Braswell had six kills apiece.
Goldsboro (2-8 overall) plays host to county rival C.B. Aycock next Wednesday.
