Hobbton defense can't stop Eagles' Chapin

NEWTON GROVE -- Ethan Chapin collected a hat trick (three goals) as Rosewood dumped Hobbton, 5-2, in the Carolina 1-A Conference opener for both teams Wednesday afternoon.
Chapin scored two first-half goals, including his second off an assist from Daniel Alberto. The senior tallied the Eagles' lone second-half goal.
Geo Abril and Jayden Thomas supplied one goal apiece. Zack Barnes and Stalen Massengill each recorded an assist.
