Wayne Christian drops 4-set affair to Neuse Christian

Hannah Sladick flirted with a double-double as Wayne Christian dropped an 18-25, 25-17, 20-25, 23-25 decision to Neuse Christian in a Carolina Christian 1-A Conference match contested inside Clifford Gym on Friday evening.
Sladick, a junior middle hitter, compiled seven kills, five blocks, 12 digs and five service aces. Kasey Norris registered eight assists and three aces. Sarah Sawyer supplied six kills and 10 digs. Ashley Harrelson (three kills) and Kaylin Darden served two aces apiece.
Mercy Wright posted 11 kills and four blocks. Freshman Hope Shook delivered three kills and 10 digs. Sophomore libero Holly Gurley collected 13 digs.
Emily Wells dished out 22 assists.
Wayne Christian (8-7 overall) entertains Greenfield on Tuesday.
