Gators belt three homers, win first-ever playoff softball game

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Ashley Marriner hit her first high school home run and Spring Creek won its first-ever playoff game in program history, 6-1, over Pamlico County on Wednesday.
In the first-ever home playoff game for Spring Creek, Rachel McCollum blasted two home runs and struck out nine batters in the circle. Sarah Ford hit a double and Alanna Price and Daisy Martinez each had one hit.
Spring Creek travels to undefeated Northside for the second round.
