Mercer drops in 4 goals against East Wake Academy

Junior Lexi Mercer punched in four goals during Rosewood's opening-round, 5-1 victory over East Wake Academy in the 2015 N.C. High School Athletic Association Class 1-A playoffs Wednesday evening.
Payton Lane contributed one goal and one assist. Kennedy Behrend and Rebecca Fitzmauriced passed out one assist apiece.
Goalie Jala Holloman recorded 12 saves.
The 13th-seeded Eagles (14-5-0 overall) will travel to East Carteret for the second round.
