MOORESVILLE -- Woodlawn finished a rebound on a save made by Wayne Country Day keeper Becca Edmondson, and eliminated Wayne Country Day, 1-0, from quarterfinal-round play in the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association Class 1-A playoffs.
The Chargers had their fair share of chances, but couldn't push the ball past Woodlawn's goalkeeper.
"(I) couldn't be prouder of the girls this season. Losing seven players from last year and winning conference and being (the) sixth seed in the state is a big achievement for us," WCDS coach Steven Ellis said.
WCDS ended the year 10-6-0 overall.
