Goldsboro soccer scores mercy-rule win over Greene Central

Mikaela Vera notched the game-ending goal four minutes into the second half as Goldsboro earned a 9-0, mercy-rule decision over Greene Central in Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference play Wednesday evening.
Anna Prezbindowksi, Courtney Sutton and Juanita Cortes-Torres tallied two goals apiece for the Cougars. Timaya Williams and Angelina Nacca each provided one goal.
Ivey Wade dished out a team-high two assists. Williams, Prezbindowski, Casey Pursifull and Sutton each had one assist.
Goldsboro entertains South Lenoir today.
