* Girls' soccer: Wayne Country Day 7, Northeast Charter Prep 0 -- Janae Jones punched in four goals during the Chargers' regular-season finale Friday afternoon. Ally Willman, Isabel Vigneault and Langley Barnes (two assists) each contributed one goal. Hannah Neal had an assist. WCDS finished 5-1-1 overall.
* Baseball: C.B. Aycock 2, Southern Wayne 1 (8 inn.) -- Cody Whaley scattered six hits and logged two strikeouts during the Golden Falcons' extra-inning home win Friday. Whaley also delivered the game-deciding walk-off hit. Joey Hampton and Nick Aycock had two hits apiece. Manny Walker belted a solo home run for the Saints. Matt Hollingsworth had two hits.
