Baseball: C.B. Aycock 15, Southern Wayne 4 (5 inn.) -- The Golden Falcons induced the mercy rule with a 10-run, fourth-inning outburst. Freshmen Nick Aycock (two RBI) and Blake Gipson (RBI) pounded out three hits apiece. Freshman Nolan Harrell paced the offense with two doubles and four RBI. Sophomore Joey Hampton batted 2-for-4 with two RBI. Overall, Aycock had 14 hits and 14 RBI as a team for the game. Luke Frederick, Zack Brewer and Ryan Kearney combined for a six-hitter on the mound. Brewer emerged as the winning pitcher with two inings of two-hit, two-strikeout relief.
