Kinston out-duels Goldsboro in error-filled baseball game

Goldsboro's offense got going a little too late, and Kinston outlasted the Cougars 18-12 on the Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference scene.
The teams combined for 19 hits and 13 errors.
Jared Howard and Sterling Dodson led the Cougars with two hits apiece. Howard and Chandler Patrick each scored three times.
Howard endured the loss on the mound, surrendering 13 runs, five earned, on seven hits in 31/3 innings.
Goldsboro (1-8 overall) fell to 0-2 in the ECC.
