Goldsboro improves to 5-1 in boys tennis

Goldsboro dropped a match because of an injury forfeit in first doubles, but the Cougars were nearly perfect, securing an 8-1 win over Eastern Carolina 2-A opponent Kinston on Tuesday.
Sam D'Araujo, Vincent Spagnuolo, Devin Collins, Xan Pate, Kenny Archibald and Caleb Whitted all won their singles matches.
D'Araujo and Archibald won the second doubles match 8-3, and Pate-Whitted took third doubles 8-1.
Goldsboro improved to 5-1 overall and 4-1 in the ECC.
