Courtney Warner definitely has her sights set on bigger goals as the outdoor track season progresses, but she turned in yet another dominating performance during the 2015 Wayne County Track and Field Championship meet Tuesday afternoon.

The Charles B. Aycock senior became the first-ever six-time individual champion in WCTF history after successfully defending her 100- and 200-meter dash titles that she won the first time as a sophomore.

Head coach Roger Rhodes scanned the scoresheet for Warner's time after she completed the 100. He saw 11.87 seconds that was actually rounded up to 11.9 -- four-tenths of a second faster than county nemesis Cierra Thompson of Southern Wayne.

"That's hauling (bleep)," Rhodes said of his two-time state champ.

Warner also anchored the meet-winning 1,600 relay that sealed the Golden Falcons fourth consecutive team crown -- a dominating 181.5-90 decision over the host Eagles.

Eastern Wayne secured third place with 80.5 points. Southern Wayne (75 points), Goldsboro (74), Spring Creek (22) and Wayne Christian (11) rounded out the meet, which took 4 1/2 hours to complete.

Aycock won the 3,200 relay and got individual victories from Sarah Gregory (3,200 run), Abby Shenk (triple jump), Cyerra Carter (high jump) and Taylor Daniels. The Golden Falcons claimed the 3,200 relay.

Rosewood's Krystal Yelverton repeated as the 100 and 300 hurdles champion. She posted a 16.94 in the 100.

"Oh yes, that's a PR," said Yelverton as she high-fived a teammate.

Goldsboro senior Nichole Mehlhaff triumphed in the 800 and 1,600 runs, and concluded her high school career as a three-time county champion. Mehlhaff had a little competition in the 1,600, but easily handled the competition in the 800.

"When we first started out (in the 800), I felt someone on my back, but didn't know who it was and I didn't want to look back to see who it was," said Mehlhaff, who has been accepted at Texas A&M.

"My 800, I don't run it the same way I run my mile (1,600), so it was a little difficult to get away from who was behind me. I feel really fabulous ... am just glad I was able to come back this season since it was my senior year. This was my last time to take a shot at anything and am just glad that I did my best."

Southern Wayne won the 400 relay and Goldsboro took the 800 relay.
